Today’s Wearing Wednesday photo demonstrates a PERFECT newborn position in the Manduca!! Sarah has her baby’s legs folded in the natural “M” shape within the carrier! Ergonomic & comfortable for both mama & baby, this position is best until baby is around 3 months, 14 pounds, or when you are naturally holding baby against your body with baby’s legs wrapping around you! A great interim position is to froggy just 1 leg with the other coming out maintaining the “knees higher than bum” stature!!!

I have been going crazy trying to find a picture/ explanation of the correct leg position for newborns in my Manduca.
I know it is an amazing carrier and was so excited when it arrived yesterday, but I was on the point of returning it almost immediately. The M position described in the manual seemed far too wide for my 6 week old’s little froggie legs.
The only thing that Manduca do not do well is clear instructions, with enough detail for slightly stressed new mums!
I now have new hope and am off to put my little frog back in her carrier!
