When did you first fall down the rabbit hole?? The world of babywearing has changed so much in the last few years, it truly is amazing. To think under ten years ago it was actually hard to find a woven wrap locally, and now…. and now there are soooo many amazing beauties at the touch of our finger tips! While spending hours online researching these carriers, we find our friends, our support systems, our “families” and ourselves. The journey through motherhood can be lonely, and overwhelming but oh so rewarding when we finally find our “people”. We PAXmommies fell in love with babywearing years ago, and love where the journey has taken us: babywearing education, doula training, teaching, placenta encapsulation, home birthing, birth photography, natural parenting, Bradley Method training, and SO MANY AMAZING  NEW FRIENDS!

Beco Baby Carriers and PAXbaby.com have had a long time babywearing love affair! We met when my fourth child was just 6 months old; Kolbe is now 9 years and officially too big to wear! Gabby, Beco’s owner and creator of some of our community’s most popular carriers, invited me to the Beco warehouse and HQ in Southern California where we spent a blissful afternoon geeking out about babywearing, cloth diapering and natural parenting! It’s been happily ever after for Beco and PAXbaby since 2006, and PAXbaby has eagerly followed all of Beco’s adventures, from the 4th Generation to the Butterfly (versions 1 and 2) to the Gemini, Soleil, and now the Toddler! What an amazing legacy Gabby has made for herself!

Happy happy happy #8 to PAXbaby.com! Many moons ago, PAXbaby started as a wee baby carrier and cloth diapering store in Santa Barbara; little did I know that I would be babywearing here today – 3 babies later and many many many mamas helped along their path to happy babywearing! What a wonderful feeling to know that I and the rest of the PAXmommies have influenced and led the way in the rainbow revolution that is today’s babywearing community! I know you have all heard the story many times before, but when I wanted a rainbow woven wrap for my fourth child, I had to source it used from Canada! Goodbye to PAXmommy Brianna!

To every story there is a beautiful beginning and a happily ever after, and for PAXmommy Brianna, her dream come true has happened! As of this week, she is the owner of a sweet baby boutique in San Diego called Buddha Baby, and also of this week, she won’t be working with PAXbaby as a PAXmom anymore! As sad as we are to see her go, all the PAXmoms wish her so much luck with her new adventure; the local community is so blessed to have such an avid knowledgeable babywearing educator to help spread the love!

Breastfeeding doesn’t come as easily to everyone.

After 6 babies, PAXmommy Alena is celebrating a breastfeeding success: 6 months with #6!

With the help of the PAXmommies and her community of supportive moms, Alena and Baby #6 are a successful nursing team!

You know that old saying, “It takes a village to raise a child”.

Well, it is true.

Sometimes you just need your friends to rally around you and tell you that YOU CAN DO IT!

To cheer for and with you, to  comfort and support you, and to hold your hand through the rough patches.

Motherhood can sometimes feel overwhelming, but with a great support team, anything is possible!
