The PAXmoms are HUGE fans of JPMBB!! We thought we couldn’t love this company any more than we already did, but then they released their Basic line!! Born of their love of babywearing and their desire to spread that love far and wide, the Je Porte Mon Bebe Basic is a simple, high quality wrap at an affordable price! This wrap does not have a pocket and is not quite as wide (50cm versus 70cm) as the original line. This wrap is meant for only front carries and will be best suited to younger babies, although it can be used for larger and older babies for shorter lengths of time. The fabrics for the Basic still boast elastic stretch, which prevents the sagging often associated with stretchy wraps, but this is a more lightweight wrap with a different weave than the Original.

Newly released, the JPMBB soft structured carrier is an ideal way to wear an older baby as well on your front or back!

Woven as a dense textile, the Je Porte Mon Bebe wrap is 95% cotton and 5% Spandex, and measures either 5 meters as the Long Wrap or 4.5 meters as the Short Wrap. The maximum weight recommended to wear your JPMBB would be 30 pounds, but you can begin wrapping with a JPMBB at birth! If you measure your wrap, you will find that it is 27.5″ wide for the Long wrap or 20″ for the Short Basic wrap, but the wrap narrows on the tails so that the final knot isn’t as bulky.
