There are so many great options available to us babywearers, but EVERY body is shaped differently and, much like finding that PERFECT pair of jeans, every carrier will fit every wearer differently, hence… the Sling Exchange!

How do you get started on the road to finding the carrier of your dreams?
1. Figure out what you want to rent! Need help? Click here!
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the type of carrier you want to rent, or select any type to build a custom package! Want to try a Mai Poketto? Please mention this in your order notes and we’ll toss one in to try with your rentals free of charge! *depends on availability*
3. Note that all prices reflect included prepaid return shipping! If you wish to rent more than three carriers at once, please put together two custom packages from the links on the site.
4. Please understand that rentals can often take as many as two weeks to ship, or potentially longer in exceptional circumstances. Because we’re a lending library, our rental times are entirely based on other renters getting their rentals back to us in a timely fashion. We try to ship you at least one of your rentals ASAP, but depending on what you’ve rented, that may not always be possible. Be assured that we’ll be in contact with an estimated shipping time shortly after you place your order, and feel free to email us prior to placing your rental order if you want to check the status of a specific carrier or carriers!
5. When you receive your Sling Exchange package, please check over the rental carriers and compare your order against the list you receive with your tracking information email. If any pieces are missing from your order, you will need to contact us within 24 hours to avoid being charged for those missing pieces (costs vary from $2-$24).
6. If you’re going to be going on vacation within a month of renting your carriers PLEASE let us know when you’re leaving and how long you’ll be gone. Often we can arrange for you to have a carrier or two to take with you if that’s your preference. If you don’t tell us you’ll be gone and your carriers arrive at your shipping address while you’re not there, you will be liable for late fees incurred should you wish to keep your carriers for the whole two week period when you return.

The Not-So-Fine Print:
- Carriers that return to us more than three days (not counting Sunday) past your carrier due date will be charged an extra $5 fee per week per carrier, with a one week minimum. Please be courteous of other renters and get your carriers back to us in a timely fashion so that we can get them back out to the next babywearing renter!
- Did you know that if you purchase a carrier from PAXbaby within 60 days of placing your rental order and enter your Sling Exchange order number in the “Comments” section upon checkout, we’ll refund you $9 of your Sling Exchange rental cost? That’s like getting one free rental carrier!
- Please don’t wash your Sling Exchange baby carriers, they will be sanitized back at PAXbaby headquarters using gentle and environmentally-friendly methods. Contact us for instructions if there is an emergency and you need to wash the carrier while it is still in your possession.
- Rental fees are non-refundable once all carriers in your order have shipped; the first $9 of rental fees will be credited back to you when you purchase your first carrier from us! The remainder of the rental fees cover the costs of shipping to you plus administrative costs for the program.
- If you prefer not to check out using Paypal, please call us and we can take your credit card number!
- Carriers returned with missing pieces will incur fees that will be assessed directly to the renter. Should a carrier be returned with a missing piece, no further carriers in the order will be shipped until the piece has been paid for or located and returned to PAXbaby. PAXbaby will bill your PayPal address for any fees incurred by the renter.
- Baby carriers purchased at PAXbaby after renting through PAXbaby’s Sling Exchange are still eligible for free shipping and the 90 day Love it or Leave it return policy.
- You will receive a rental confirmation form via email within 24 hours of placing your rental order. Until this form is completed, no carriers will be shipped to you.
