The Olives & Applesauce soft structured carrier is fully buckled (buckles on both the shoulder straps and the waistband) and nicely padded for the full comfort of both baby & parent.  Use the attached hood for naps or shade, and the internal, removable insert is ideal for newborns and any baby up to 30 pounds!  Remember,  the infant insert is built in so you won't need to buy a separate newborn carrier. The shoulder straps can fasten to make an X on your back which is the ultimate in comfort!  The O & A really couldn't be more comfortable, even when toting a heavy child!
