Care
Instructions
To keep your Scootababy looking
new longer, we recommend that regular care be limited to spot cleaning.
Machine wash in cold water only when necessary. Spot clean with a damp
cloth, and avoid harsh scrubbing as this may cause uneven denim fading.
Machine washing instructions:
Optional: detach the fleece
shoulder panel, and take the sliding pad off the waist belt (these can be
washed with the carrier; detaching will prevent excessive twisting in the
wash).
Machine wash separately in cold
water, gentle cycle. Use mild detergent only, no bleach or fabric
softener.
Reshape and lay flat to air dry
for best results, or tumble dry low.
Iron denim if needed; do not
iron fleece.
Optional hot
pre-wash to prevent dye transfer
Scootababy uses premium denim
made in the United States. Just like your favorite jeans, the denim used
in our carriers is sturdy, wears well, and is always fashionable. As with
most dark fabrics, the dye is not completely colorfast and may rub off
when wet. Washing once in hot water will rinse out the excess dye and
avoid problems with dye transfer onto clothing.
Hot pre-wash instructions:
Remove the fleece shoulder
panel (colorfast and doesn't need pre-washing).
Take the sliding pad off the
waist belt and wash with the carrier (prevents twisting).
Machine wash separately in hot
water, normal cycle. Use mild detergent only, no bleach or fabric
softener. We strongly recommend using a
dye catcher sheet in the washing machine to prevent dye from
redepositing on the carrier (we've had good experience with Shout Color
Catcher sheets).
Reshape and lay flat to air dry
for best results, or tumble dry low.
Iron denim if needed; do not
iron fleece.
Always
ensure that straps are correctly threaded into buckles before use!
